The Shipments list
What the Shipments list shows, how to filter and sort it, and how to start a new shipment.
The Shipments list is your single view of every voyage in motion. You land here from the sidebar, you filter by stage of the voyage, and you create a new shipment from the top-right button.
Before you start
- You need Shipments view permission to open the list.
- You need Shipments edit permission to create a new one.
Filters
Three tabs sit above the table:
- In progress (the default): every shipment that isn't yet Released.
- Completed: shipments with status Released.
- All: everything, in progress and completed.
Released shipments drop out of In progress automatically, so this tab stays focused on what still needs your attention.
Sorting
You can sort by Vessel, Type, Shipping line, ETD, ETA, and Status. Click a column header to toggle ascending and descending. The default sort is ETA ascending, so the next arrival is always at the top.
What each row shows
Per row you see the vessel name, type (RoRo or Container), shipping line, ETD, ETA, status pill, and a vehicle count. The vehicle count is live, so if you move a vehicle off a shipment the count drops straight away.
Page size
Choose 20, 50, or 100 rows per page. The default is 20.
Starting a new shipment
The Create shipment button at the top-right opens the new-shipment form. If you landed here from a vehicle and wanted to attach it to a new voyage, creating the shipment from the vehicle's Assign to shipment sheet is usually quicker because the vehicle is pre-selected for you.
Empty states
The empty state changes with the filter you have open. On In progress you see a prompt to create your first shipment; on Completed or All you see a reminder that there's nothing in that slice yet.
