The workshop vehicle detail page
The workshop-focused view of a vehicle with its tasks, recent planning and job sheets, and quick actions.
When a vehicle is actively in the workshop stage, clicking its row on the vehicle list opens a focused view with only the workshop-relevant panels: tasks and recent prep sheets. This article tours the page so you know what each section does and where it connects to.
Before you start
- You need Workshop view permission.
- The vehicle must be at the At workshop stage. Vehicles in earlier or later stages don't have a workshop detail view; open the regular vehicle detail page instead.
The header
- Back to workshop takes you to where you came from (calendar or list).
- Stock number, make, model, and year identify the vehicle.
- A link to the full vehicle details takes you to the main vehicle detail page for anything not covered by the workshop panels (costs, customer sale, photos, notes, documents, and so on).
The tasks panel
The open and completed tasks for this vehicle.
- Add task: opens the add sheet pre-filled with this vehicle. Covered in Adding, editing, and completing tasks.
- Task rows: one row per task with title, due date, assignee, and status. Click to open the edit or mark-done sheet.
- Cost needs adding flags appear on done tasks where parts were used and cost hasn't been recorded yet.
Recent prep sheets
A list of the most recent planning and job sheet uploads for this vehicle, newest first. Each row shows:
- Whether it's a planning or job sheet.
- The file name you uploaded.
- The upload date.
- The status: Needs review, Applied, or Failed.
Click a row to jump back into the review or success screen for that sheet. Useful for continuing work you started or checking what was applied.

When the vehicle leaves the workshop stage
The workshop detail page is only available while the vehicle is at the workshop stage. Once it moves to Sale ready, Sold, Delivered, or anywhere past workshop, the page shows a short note and links:
- Back to workshop returns you to the calendar or list.
- Open full vehicle details takes you to the main vehicle detail page, where all historical tasks are still visible on the Workshop area of that page.
Your tasks, photos, and sheet references don't go anywhere; they move to the main vehicle detail page when the workshop stage is over.
