When a customer opts out

How customers stop emails, and how to resume them if they ask.

Every customer email has a "Stop receiving these emails" link in the footer. A customer can opt out at any time, with one click, and it takes effect immediately.

Resuming a customer

If a customer asks to start receiving emails again, open their record and use Resume. You can see who has opted out under Settings, Customer emails.

Addresses that cannot be emailed

If an email bounces or a customer reports it as spam, that address is no longer emailed. The fix is to correct the customer's email address; a corrected address is treated as new.
