Account & profile basics

Manage your personal account. Profile, email, password, two-factor authentication, avatar, and data export.

Updated Apr 18, 2026

Everything to do with your personal account lives in Settings → Account. This article covers what you can change and a couple of gotchas to know about.

Your profile

  1. Open Settings → Account
  2. Edit your first name and last name
  3. Click Save

You can also upload or replace your avatar. ImportOps resizes the image automatically to a square 256-pixel JPEG so it loads quickly everywhere it's shown.

Changing your email

  1. Click Change email
  2. Enter your current password for verification
  3. Enter the new email address
  4. Confirm

ImportOps sends a confirmation link to the new address. You need to click it to activate the change.

Changing your password

  1. Click Change password
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter your new password twice to confirm
  4. Save

You stay signed in on this device. Other devices may ask you to sign in again with the new password.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA adds a second verification step at sign-in, using an authenticator app on your phone.

To enrol:

  1. In Settings → Account, scroll to Two-factor authentication
  2. Follow the wizard. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, then enter the 6-digit code from the app to confirm
  3. Save

Once enrolled, you'll be prompted for a code after every sign-in.

If your organisation requires 2FA, you can't disable it yourself from this page. If you lose access to your authenticator (new phone, deleted app), ask an admin to Reset 2FA for your account from Settings → Team & roles. You'll then be asked to enrol again on your next sign-in.

Exporting your personal data

Click Export personal data to download a copy of the personal information ImportOps holds about you. The export is a JSON file you can keep for your records or use with data-portability requests.

Signing out

Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then Sign out. You can sign back in from the login page.
