Organisation settings in detail

The full list of organisation-level fields, what each one is used for, and who can change them.

Updated Apr 19, 2026

The Organization page in Settings is where you set everything that applies to your organisation as a whole: name, branding, address, tax details, and the security policy for your team. Every member can view; only admins can edit.

Before you start

  • You need to be an admin to edit.
  • You're on SettingsOrganization.

Identity and branding

  • Organisation name: shown in the app header, on tracking pages, and in emails. Change it at any time.
  • Logo: upload an image to replace the default. Used in the app header and on documents generated for customers. Square or short-landscape logos work best.

Contact details

  • Contact email: the email address customers reach you on. Appears on customer tracking pages when configured.
  • Phone: your organisation's main phone number. Purely informational in the app.
  • Address: street address of your business. Appears on customer-facing documents.

Country, timezone, and tax

  • Country: sets the country-specific defaults used across the app. Changing country offers an Apply country defaults action that refreshes currency, document type list, and other regional choices to match. Use this only when you're setting up or moving the business; it overwrites some existing settings.
  • Timezone: every date and timestamp in ImportOps displays in this timezone.
  • VAT or tax registration number: the label varies by country (VAT, GST, ABN, and so on). Appears on invoices and customer documents.
  • Company registration number: your companies-house or equivalent number. Also appears on customer-facing documents.

Security

  • Require 2FA for all members: when turned on, every member of your organisation has to complete two-factor setup on their next sign-in. They can't use the app until they do. Good practice for any team storing customer and financial data.

Admins can reset an individual member's 2FA from the Team page if they lose their authenticator; covered in Inviting your team.

The Finish setup prompt

New organisations see a Finish setup button until you explicitly mark setup complete. This is a soft reminder only; you can use ImportOps before you click it. It's there so the dashboard and onboarding nudges know when to stop prompting.

What lives somewhere else

  • Billing: your plan, payment method, and invoices are on Settings → Billing. Covered in Billing & Account.
  • Team and roles: invites and role management are on Settings → Team & roles. Covered in Getting Started.
  • Default currency and cost categories: these are on Settings → Costs & currency because they belong to cost entry, not organisation identity.
