The Settings area

A tour of the Settings sidebar, what each group contains, and who can see what.

Updated Apr 19, 2026

The Settings area is where you configure your account, your organisation, and how ImportOps works for your team. Open it from the sidebar; the default landing page is your personal Account.

The four groups

The Settings sidebar groups pages into four sections. What you see depends on your role and plan.

Personal

Visible to every member.

  • Account: your name, email, password, and two-factor authentication.
  • Notifications: your personal notification preferences.

Organization

Visible to every member, with admin-only pages hidden from non-admins.

  • Organization: name, address, country, logo, tax numbers, timezone, and the organisation-wide two-factor requirement. Everyone can view; admins can edit.
  • Billing (admin-only): current plan, subscription status, payment method, invoices, and plan changes.
  • Team & roles (admin-only): invite members, manage roles, reset two-factor.
  • API keys (admin-only, Pro plan): create, scope, and revoke keys for the ImportOps API.
  • Notification defaults (admin-only): the org-wide default switches for each notification event.

Operations

Admin-only, visible where your plan includes the feature.

  • Vehicle data: makes, models, stock number format, and default vehicle origin country.
  • Costs & currency: your organisation's accounting currency and the editable list of vehicle cost categories.
  • Documents & compliance: custom document types and the compliance reminder schedule.
  • Workshop: calendar and prep-task configuration.

Administration

Admin-only.

  • Data management: restore soft-deleted vehicles, export organisation data, transfer ownership, request organisation deletion.
  • Audit log: a record of significant actions across the organisation.

Why you might not see something

If a link doesn't appear in your sidebar:

  • You're not an admin. Billing, Team, API keys, and most Operations and Administration pages are admin-only.
  • Your plan doesn't include the feature. API keys, planning and job sheets, and some operational pages require Pro. See What's included on Core vs Pro.
  • The setup step is in a different category. Account profile, 2FA, and inviting your team are covered in Getting Started.

Where to start

  • If you've only recently set up your organisation, start with Setting up your organisation in Getting Started.
  • If you're preparing for day-one operations, head to Organization settings in detail.
  • If you're configuring how your team gets notified, read Notification defaults for your organisation.
