The supplier detail page
A tour of the header, KPI cards, profile, documents, vehicles, and activity timeline on a supplier.
The supplier detail page is where everything about one supplier lives. You open it by clicking a name on the Suppliers list. This article walks through each section so you know what every panel does.
Before you start
- You need Suppliers view permission.
- You need Suppliers edit permission to edit the profile, upload documents, or archive.
The header
- A back link to the Suppliers list.
- The supplier's name as the main heading.
- Archive or Unarchive and Delete buttons on the right (edit permission). Each opens an inline confirmation panel. Archive hides the supplier from pickers while keeping history; Delete removes the record permanently but is blocked when the supplier has linked vehicles. Full flows in Archiving a supplier and Deleting a supplier.
KPI cards
Four cards in the first row and three in the second give you a fast read on how this supplier is performing. Each is explained in full in Understanding supplier metrics.
- Row 1: Purchased cars, In stock, Sold, Realized margin.
- Row 2: Purchase value, Landed value, Realized sales.
Money figures are shown in your organisation's accounting currency.
Profitability snapshot
A short three-card panel that restates the landed value, realized sales, and realized margin in plainer labels: Inventory view, Realized sales, Realized profitability. Same numbers, easier on the eye during a quick review.
Supplier profile
The read-only view shows contact, email, phone, type, website, preferred currency, payment terms, address, and supplier notes.
Click Edit to open the form and change anything. Covered in full in Editing a supplier profile.
Documents
Upload, list, and open supplier-related files. Covered in Uploading supplier documents.
Purchased vehicles
Every vehicle whose supplier field is set to this supplier. Each row shows the stock number, make, and model, and links straight to the vehicle's own detail page. Paginated ten at a time with Previous and Next buttons.
"No vehicles linked" shows when none are attached.
Activity timeline
A merged feed of the most recent events, showing up to 50 items, paginated 12 at a time. Each entry has an avatar, a summary, the source, who did it, and a timestamp.
There are two sources:
- Supplier events: supplier created, supplier updated, archived or unarchived, and document uploaded.
- Vehicle events: activity from the vehicles currently linked to this supplier.
This gives you a single view of everything happening around the supplier without having to hop between vehicle pages.
