The Suppliers list
What the Suppliers list shows, how to search it, and how to add or archive a supplier.
The Suppliers list is your single view of every supplier your organisation works with: auction houses, exporters, dealers, brokers, and private sellers. From here you can search, add a new supplier, open a detail page, or archive one.
Before you start
- You need Suppliers view permission to open the list.
- You need Suppliers edit permission to add, archive, or unarchive.
What each row shows
- Name (linked to the supplier's detail page)
- Contact (contact name, falling back to email or phone if contact name is blank)
- Location (city and country, joined)
- Status (Active or Archived)
- Actions (Archive or Unarchive, edit-permission-gated)
Searching
Use the search box at the top to filter by name, contact name, or email. Matching is case-insensitive and partial, so "exp" matches "Tokyo Exporters". The search is debounced, so there's a short pause before the list updates.
Phone numbers aren't searchable, and the address fields aren't searchable. Search by name or contact instead.
Adding a supplier quickly
With edit permission you also see a New supplier name input and an Add supplier button. Type a name and click Add, and a new supplier is created with that name and nothing else. Open the new record to fill in contact, address, payment terms, and so on. Covered in Adding a supplier.
Archive and unarchive
Each row has an Archive button (or Unarchive on an already-archived supplier). Click it, and an inline confirmation asks you to confirm before anything changes. Archiving hides the supplier from the pickers you use when setting a supplier on a vehicle; linked vehicles and their history stay intact. More in Archiving a supplier.
Page size and pagination
Choose 20, 50, or 100 rows per page. The default is 20. Your search is preserved across pages.
Empty states
- With no search applied: "No suppliers yet."
- With a search and no matches: "No suppliers match
"..."."
Opening a supplier
Click the supplier's name to open the detail page with KPI cards, profile, documents, vehicles, and activity timeline.
